O robô em questão foi concebido pela General Motors e pela NASA, de seu nome Robonaut2, com o objectivo de auxiliar o trabalho humano. Pesa 150 quilogramas, e tem a imagem de um humano, com cabeça, tronco, dois braços e as respectivas mãos.&lt;br /&gt;Irá ser lançado para no espaço no vaivém espacial Discovery em Setembro. Este andróide servirá para ser companhia dos enfermos.&lt;br /&gt;Hiroshi Ishiguro, um dos professores neste projecto, até já imaginou uma família completa destes andróides, com reacções e expressões quase iguais as humanas, mas diz-se contente para já com o inicio. “Uma nova tecnologia sempre desperta temores e opiniões negativas”, disse o Professor antes de explicar que deseja construir robôs bastante idênticos a humanos.&lt;br /&gt;Na demonstração deste novo andróide que consegue rir, durante quase 20 minutos, vestido com uma saia negra e cabelo castanho, conseguiu sorrir e franzir a testa a demonstrar irritação, praticamente igual a modelo de 20 anos que acompanhava. A nossa primeira publicação vai dar-vos a conhecer algumas informações sobre os robots que estamos a tentar fazer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#009900;"&gt;Futebol robótico:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://robotica2010.ipleiria.pt/robotica2010/index.php?option=com_content&amp;amp;view=article&amp;amp;id=23%3Afutebol-robotico-junior&amp;amp;catid=6%3Afutebol-robotico-junior&amp;amp;Itemid=16&amp;amp;lang=pt"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Para quem adora futebol e em particular o futebol robótico, que têm nesta prova (Robocup) a possibilidade de testar o seu valor e aprimorar os seus dotes de programação e construção de robôs. A prova baseia-se na utilização de dois robôs autónomos, repletos de sensores e cuja dimensão não pode exceder os 22cm de diâmetro, construídos para jogar futebol. Uma bola emissora de infravermelhos e dois campos com graus de complexidade distintos são os restantes elementos desta competição animada, repleta de estratégias tácticas e golos. Verdade ou não, a prova de Dança consiste numa competição dinâmica e interactiva, onde cada equipa programa os respectivos robôs para dançarem ao som da música, seguindo uma coreografia criada pelos elementos das equipas. Trata-se por isso de uma competição capaz de proporcionar bons espectáculos artísticos, avaliados por júris especialistas em Dança e em Robótica. A prova é composta por um palco plano e uma área de actuação de 24 m2, área essa que não pode ser transposta por nenhum robô em prova. A limitação desse terreno de jogo é feita por uma fita preta e branca. Os robôs podem possuir trajes e o palco pode ser também decorado, ou preparado com outros adereços, para dar ainda mais brilho a esta competição! Esta competição foi introduzida no Robótica 2003 e apura as equipas portuguesas para a prova RoboCup Junior Dance. As classes “júnior” são essencialmente destinadas a escolas básicas, secundárias e profissionais e estão divididas em dois escalões etários: 8-14 e 15-19 anos. eléctricos. As máquinas, pode-se dizer que são vivas, mas ao mesmo tempo são uma imitação da vida não passa de fios unidos e mecanismos, isso tudo junto concebe um robô. Cada vez mais as pessoas utilizam os robôs para suas tarefas. Em breve, tudo poderá ser controlado por robôs.
